I’m asking for your vote to help me establish taxation transparency and shed light on how, why, and by whom you are being taxed - ensuring your rights as a taxpayer are protected in the process.

I will work to ensure that every aspect of the taxation process is open and clear to taxpayers. Here’s what it involves:

Clear Explanation of Appraisal Methods & Processes,Tax Rates and Assessments: clearly communicate how properties are appraised, valued, and taxed

Participation in the Process: allow your input on decisions that affect property valuation processes and tax calculations including public meetings, and forums for taxpayers to express their opinions and ask questions

Regular Updates and Communications: provide regular updates about changes in tax policies, rates, appraisal processes and vaulation assessments

The goal of taxation transparency is to create trust between taxpayers and the Bexar Appraisal District by ensuring that everyone can see the methods and processes used to appraise and value property, how each tax is calculated and by whom, and that taxpayers have a say in the process.
